About the Program
In partnership with CPHR Saskatchewan – this program has been approved for 22.5 CPD hours.
This is the last time I will offer Dare to Lead in Saskatchewan. (Brené Brown has sold her program.) Leadership is a way of being, not a title. Enhance how you show up as a leader by digging into the concepts of vulnerability, shame, values, trust, granting grace to others (and yourself) instead of judging, and building mental toughness and resilience. You’ll also learn practical techniques to give and receive hard feedback in a way that strengthens relationships.
On top of Brené’s wonderful teachings, you’ll also receive a copy of Kellie’s new book “Self Coaching ~ The Dragon Within: The hardest person you’ll ever lead is you.” You’ll receive ideas on taming your dragon within (a cocktail of the inner critic, limiting beliefs and go-to reactionary behaviours), along with a signed copy of the book and access to fillable pdfs of the DRAGONS self-coaching model.
Based on Brené Brown’s book Dare to Lead, this program is designed for to help you find the the courage required bring out others’ potential, which starts with ourselves. Courage is a collection of four measurable skills: vulnerability, living your values, braving trust and rising strong after setbacks. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage building skills. This will help you demonstrate leadership – whether you have a boss title or not.
You will learn:
- Armoured vs Daring Leadership
- Self-Awareness and Emotional Literacy
- The Myths of Vulnerability
- Shame Resilience
- Empathy and Self-Compassion
- Living into your Values
- Grounded confidence
- How to give and receive feedback
- BRAVING Trust – building and rebuilding trust
- Learning to Rise after setbacks, including resilience and mental toughness

About Kellie Garrett
I’m an experienced executive coach, speaker and consultant on all things leadership. I call myself a recovering executive because I know all about the perils and perks that come with powerful positions. No matter what your job is, most of us go to work with very good intentions, but the crushing pressure and inevitable politics often strain our ability to show up as our best self every day. It takes persistence and hard work to address this. I am fascinated by the inner work of leadership. The hardest person you’ll ever lead is you!
